Actives:
1. Acnacidol 2% – is composed of 10 hydroxydecanoic acid, sebacic acid and decanediol. It helps in acne prone skin by minimizing sebum secretion. It also exerts some dose dependent anti-bacterial activity thus inhibiting P. acnes.
2. Glycolic acid 3% – It is an alphahydroxy acid. It gently exfoliates the skin by dissolving dead skin cells and sebum resulting in unclogging the pores, thus preventing comedone formation (black heads & white heads). It also helps in reduction of marks caused by acne.
3. Azelaic acid 3% – is a dicarboxylic acid. It has anti-inflammatory action and has anti-bacterial activity thus helps reduce acne. Additionally, it inhibits tyrosinase. This helps to reduce post acne marks.
4. Probiobalance –helps repair the skin barrier and restore healthy environment for balanced microbiomes.
5. Tea Tree oil –has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that benefit acne prone skin.
6. Willow bark extract –gently exfoliates the skin and refines pore size.
7. Aquaxyl –strengthens skin barrier and hydrates the skin.
8. Niacinamide –anti-inflammatory and helps reduce redness and marks
What does it do?
Pro Defence Acne serum is recommended for early acne, mild acne and seborrhoea. It can be used as an adjunct with topical retinoid, clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide and oral Isotretinoin.
It is a unique combination that helps reduce sebum and unclog the pores. It thus minimizes appearance of blackheads and white heads. It has some degree of anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory action resulting in controlling acne. Glycolic acid and azelaic acid help to minimize post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

How to use?
Take a small quantity and apply as dots on clean face, gently spread. Avoid application very close to eyes and lip corners. Ideal to use twice a day. If using along with prescribed medicines like Adapalene, Tretinoin or Benzoyl peroxide that need to be used at night, Pro Defence Acne serum can be used in the, morning. It is advised to use an appropriate sunscreen on top of the serum once it is absorbed.

Yes. It is common for adolescents to experience seborrhoea and comedones. However, their skin may not be ready to use Adapalene or Tretinoin as it can cause irritation. Pro Defence Acne serum is a gentle formulation that will help unclog pores and prevent excessive acne without causing irritation.
